WSET Level 3 Award in Wines is appropriate for those in the drinks and hospitality industries in a supervisory capacity, who need core information to advise management and customers with authority, and make informed selections of wines. It also ideal for wine enthusiasts who wish to acquire in-depth knowledge of wines, and want to obtain an internationally recognised wine qualification.
WSET Level 3 is also ideal for the wine connoisseur who wants to learn about wines in a thorough and structured manner, and gain an internationally recognised wine qualification. During this course you will taste around 80 different wines.
WSET Level 3 course leads to a UK Government recognised qualification, gained by successfully completing:
•Multiple-choice paper of 50 questions
•Question paper requiring four short written answers
•Blind tasting of two wines.
This qualification is accredited at Level 3 in the UK National Qualifications Framework. It is a prerequisite for candidates planning to study for the WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines and Spirits qualification.
Timings: 6 days tuition, from 10am to 6pm each day, plus examination. Students should also allow around 70 hours of private study time.
Fees include: comprehensive study materials, wine samples (almost 80 wines are tasted on this course) and WSET examination fees (plus WSET certificate and lapel pin for those who pass). You will need your own set of tasting glasses.
